Switching Gears: Mission Reform
Over the last year, since the conclusion of my Year of Dresses campaign (which you can read about here), I have felt the Lord leading me to continue with content development and trainings for those wanting to engage in cross-cultural missions. And although I have tried to narrow that down to a specific group (short-term teams, career international missionaries, local non-profit workers, etc), I have found myself unable to settle with any one category. While I wrestled with this, I found myself doubting whether this was truly next. After all, I have a lot on my plate. After all, I have a full time job in this exact field. After all, what even are my qualifications? After all, there are better voices out there that can (and do) speak to these issues.
But then I realized that the matter would not be dropped, and that while I probably still should try to determine a more specific target group, there is still this. “In the meantime…”
So here I am. In the meantime, in the waiting room, in the wrestling cage, figuring it out, and writing as I wait.
So, dear reader… do you have a desire to share Jesus? That’s a great place to start.
In my previous writings, I was a little more ambiguous about my faith in an effort to win interviews and appeal to a wider audience. In this new venture, that will not be the case. I am a Christ-follower, and I want to serve Jesus and bring glory to Him and share His love with everyone I meet.
Here’s to a new adventure.
